If you were not at core groups yesterday-- Rachel came around and introduced the opportunity to help with the Free Store November 1st & November 2nd the times for both days are 9am-2pm. if you are able to help out contact Rachel Burns for what times you are available!! We would love your help. You can come for however long you can- no set shifts. Any help is much much appreciated!! #Liveworthy #serviceopportunities We are meeting with our core groups tonight for discussion! Please join us! :) The Rocky Rover Football team is AWAY tonight-- so we will NOT be having Fifth Quarter! Good luck to all althletes this weekend!! Please consider donating items to our O.C.C. Service Project! You can put donations in the bin in the Youth Room or the Red Wagon in the Gathering Area by the Rotunda.
Here are some things that we need. Toys: include items that children will immediately embrace such as dolls, toy trucks, stuffed animals, kazoos, harmonicas, yo-yo's, jump ropes, balls, toys that light up and make noise (with extra batteries). School Supplies: Pens, pencils and sharpeners, crayons, markers, stamps and ink pad sets, coloring books, picture books. Hygiene Items: Toothbrush, mild bar soap (in a plastic bag), comb, washcloth. (No liquids, creams, toothpastes, etc.) Accessories: T-shirts, socks, ball caps, sunglasses, hair clips, toy jewelry, watches, flashlights (with extra batteries). Do Not Include: used or damaged items; war-related items such as toy guns, knives, or military figures; chocolate or food; out of date candy; liquids or lotions; medications or vitamins; breakable items such as snowglobes or glass containers. Had a great game night yesterday at Crossroads!! We started off by playing underground church, then Julia Inks explained to us mafia-- but we had some slight difficulties! Not to worry though because after we finished off the night with manhunt- high school v. middle school! I bet you can guess who won.. ;) |
