We are in a break right now, between dinner and worship. The youth are down in the gym and youth area playing dodgeball, chatting, writing, drawing, playing pool, etc. You probably know which thing your child is doing just like I do. Yup, Samantha is playing dodge ball, Carter H is playing pool, Rebecca is writing, Allie is chatting....
:-)
We were able to get a lot of work done today, despite a slight morning rain delay. Everyone seems pretty tired this evening and they will sleep well. We get to sleep in tomorrow because it's the day we go to Clay's Park. We are hoping that we continue to have clear skies so we can have a fun-filled day. I asked Tommy during dinner what the first thing would be that he would do at Clay's Park. He said "I will put on sunscreen and drink lots of gatorade." I was so thrilled in that moment. :-D
These youth are AMAZING. I am HONORED to be their youth leader. I am so proud of each one of them. They are bonding, having a blast, having deep conversations about God, trusting each other, facing fears, learning new skills....the list goes on and on.
Just a couple of pics from today. I might get more during worship and post them tonight.
Parents, you are raising amazing people.
